Vice Lords is the oldest black gang in Chicago. There were 8 different sets of Vice Lords. One of the sets created Vice Lord Nation. They have their own culture and ranks. Willie Lloyd had a big impact on the Vice Lords.

Ranks
Vice Lords was created by Edward Perry in a correctional facility. It was founded in 1958. There were 8 original sets of Vice Lords. One of the sets was called Conservative Vice Lords. They helped the community. The CVL received $ from politicians and community leaders. The CVL became corrupt after Martin Luther King, Jr got killed.
Vice Lords incorporated other gangs into their nation. This made the gang a lot bigger. They committed a lot of crimes at this time. They became very violent when drugs became more prevalent. They became drug dealers of heroin and cocaine in the 70's.
They were influenced by Islam. New rules were created because of this. It helped some them become more disciplined.
In the 80's crack became popular. The members became very undisciplined because of greed. The members became obsessed with making big bucks from selling dope. They were selling crack in various states.
The Vice Lords are in many states and several nations. There are 20,000 Vice Lords in Chicago and 30,000 nationwide.

-'Traveler Vice Lord aka Taliban(TVL)- They shot up a lot of BDs and GDs.
-Conservative Vice Lords (CVL)-They helped create the People Nation.
-Unknown Vice Lords aka Ghost Mob (UVL)-This faction was led by Willie Lloyd.
-Renegade Vice Lords (RVL)- They were created in the 80's.
-Imperial Insane Vice Lords (IIVL)-Unknown
-Mafia Insane Vice Lords (MIVL)-Unknown
-Cicero Insane Vice Lords (CIVL)-Unknown
-Spanish Vice Lords (SVL)-Latino set.
-Undertaker Vice Lords (UTVL)-They sold a lot of dope and they have age groups.
-4 Corner Hustlers (4CH)'- Fought other sets of Vice Lords.
Willie Lloyd
He joined the UVL when he was 12. When he was 14 he recruited 1,000 followers. Willie and 3 of his soldiers went to Iowa and robbed people at a hotel. They got in a shootout with police. One pig got killed. He got 15 years in jail 4 this. He got out of prison when he was 35 years old.
The Vice Lords loved him after he got out of prison. They called him cop killa. He went back to prison in 1988 for having guns in his car. He got out in 1992 and became a dope fiend. Willie wanted to be the leader of the UVL again, but Baby Tye didn't want him too.
Baby Tye became the leader while Willie was in jail. Willie had his brother kidnapped so he could get $6,000 Baby owed him. Baby had Willie car shot up after he got his brother back. The members of Baby's faction killed Lloyd's lieutenant, 2 drug dealers, and shot up Willie's car. Willie and 3 passengers were injured when the car got shot up.
Willie got arrested again in 1994 because the pigs founded a gun in his house. He got out of prison in 2002. He decided to stop being a gangsta. He told younger Vice Lords to turn from their wicked ways. Some felt he was trying to pull rank, so he got shot 6 times in 2003. He now paralyzed, but he still advocates non-violence.
Conclusion
The Vice Lords have been around for over 50 years. They have their own culture, ranks, and sets. They are nationwide and worldwide. Willie Lloyd is a Vice Lord celebrity. I don't like this gang.
