Physics

Introduction
Physics is the study of the relationship between energy, matter, time, and space.  It also deals with the 4 fundamental forces (strong & weak nuclear force, gravity, and electromagnetism).  Physicists use the scientific method, which includes hypothesis, experiment, theory, etc.  They use this to find out what is true. Thermodynamics plays a big role in physics too.  As well as the 4 states of matter.  They are solid, liquid, gas, and plasma.
History
Indians and Greeks were the first people to come up with the idea of atoms.  Then the Muslims and Europeans became atomists. The Chinese began the study of magnetism 2300 years ago!  A Muslim polymath and Issac Newton discovered gravity.  European scientists discovered the laws of thermodynamics.  James Maxwell discovered light, electricity, and magnetism is all related.  Albert Einstien came up with general and special relativity.  Dr. Gabriel Audu Oyibo was able to combine general relativity and quantum mechanics together.  He calls it GAGUT ( God Almighty Grand Unified Theory).  No other physicists were able to combine GR and QM.
Different Types
Particle Physics- it is the study of atoms and subatomic particles.
Theoretical Physics- Mathematical speculation is used describe phenomena.
Quantum Physics- It explains the behavior of subatomic particles.
Astrophysics- Is the physics of celestial objects.
There are many more types.  This is just a sampling.

Conclusion
Physics is my favorite of the big 3.  Physics was developed and studied by many different people.  It has many subtypes and a rich history.  It is very interesting.
